1999 Lexus Es300 Oxygen Sensor Bank 1
1999 Lexus Es300 Oxygen Sensor Bank 1. It is typically caused when the o2 sensor voltage is not within normal operating range. It was running fine until i got the check engine and the trac off light come on.

Would any of you happen to know which oxygen sensor is the bank 1 oxygen sensor and the exact location of it? The computer then retards the ignition timing to prevent engine damage. Bank 1 sensor 1 is in the exhaust bank at the rear of the engine compartment next to the firewall.

When i searched this forum, everything i saw said that it's near the firewall verses being on the radiator side of the engine. So here it is, in red. As a good general rule of thumb you can check the firing order of the engine and whichever side the #1 cylinder is on is the bank 1 side.
