Replaced O2 Sensor Engine Light Still On. So i disconnected my negative to my battery and replaced the sensor. No other obvious symptoms & all coils currently.

I had them change my sensor, drove 10 miles and my check engine light came back on, so i figured it was the catalytic converter. I've replaced the bad bank 1 sensor 1 02 sensor and cleared the code and started driving to begin the mercedes drive cycle so i can get it to pass the pa.

After replacing the o2 sensor and resetting the computer (by disconnecting the batt for 30 secs) the check engine light is still on. This was before i knew what they had done to the brakes.

If everything above checks out then look for vac leak. Once you've replaced your vehicle's o2 sensor, you'll need to reset the ecu so it can properly gather information from the new o2 sensor.

Hi Guys, 2 Different Shops Did Reads On My Check Engine Light Codes, I Even Paid $100 For One Of Them To Do A Full Test Of All Sensors To Identify Which One Was Bad.

If the mechanic completed the o2 sensor replacement, reset the codes and the error code was triggered again, it is possible that the catalytic converter is damaged and needs to be replaced. My check engine light came on and was solid, not blinking, my mechanic reset my sensors, but it didn't help. If everything above checks out then look for vac leak.

The check engine light could be caused by more than one problem. If it is not within spec replace the sensor. I bought it a year ago and having been replacing items that have not been maintained and a mechanic friend advised replacing the o2 sensors for better gas mileage.
