They are both coolant temp sensors. My problem is that when i bought this intake, it lacked the coolant temp sensor for the ecu. You will see 2 sensors back there.

I personally would try checking the coolant temp voltage at start up, hen when warmed up and see if the voltage changed. 10 to 1 it's your thermostat.
